There are 12 bhav (house) in a kundli (natal chart) each bhav represent large number of characteristics. However some main significance of Houses are as under;
1st House(Bhava)
This House (bhava) as called Lagna expresses that the person himself and many other aspects of personality and physical being such as , head, hairs, brain, skin, general health/ immunity / vitality, overall wellbeing and success. Some other facets are,place of birth, general characteristics of person physically, mentally etc. The way of thinking as well as the state of mind along with the person’s power, might or status is also considered. The initiation and commencing of events are also related.
2nd House (Bhava)
This house (Bhava) is considered primarily the house of family Wealth, assets, and the family status where a person is born. It also indicated the household articles, family of the person. This includes the person’s face, mouth, tongue, the right eye area and speech of the person. This relates to ‘Marak’ Bhav, general eyesight and basic education and many other things. This house also known as MarakBhav..
3rd House(Bhava)
This house (Bhava)is mainly concerned with many aspects such as the younger siblings, neighbours and near-by or surrounding people. The traits such as the courage and hobbies, and communication skills are also associated. The physical body parts such as Throat and Neck area; activities such as ‘Singing/ dancing’, and some minor characteristics of handwriting are also component of this house. Some other characteristics are also associated; these are “Short distance travel, Short term goals, Zeal to work and activity levels, sexual prowess and activity, ears and hearing”, etc.
4th House (Bhava)
This house (Bhava) is the house related with Mother, aspects of motherland, the vehicles, fixed properties etc. The traits such as Emotional well-being, or happiness, along with the college level education are also related. The other associated aspects are the life-luxuries, status and kind of place of residence. The physical body parts such as Chest and Lungs, Heart, Upper spine are also related with this house. Other matters related with this house are Private life and feelings, comfort, peace of mind etc.
5th House (Bhava)
This House (Bhava) is mainly concerned with highly intangible aspects such as intellect and creativity; Higher education, creativity, children, imagination, romantic emotions, long lasting memory, intelligence, speculations, competition, past life good Karma, House of wealth, diplomacy, Name, fame, etc. The body parts such as, Stomach, Lower heart area, Liver, Spleen, Lower back, kidneys are also related.
6th House (Bhava)
This house (Bhava) mainly known as ShatruBhav. The enemies, or short term or acute sickness, various injuries, surgeries, etc. are related with this house. The matters related debt, litigation/ courts, are associated with this house. The day to day work, physical pain, service and servants, theft, animals, fire, acute diseases, hygiene and medicine, Critical thoughts and being critical of others. The body parts such as, Pancreas, small intestine, lower waist level, lower back, urinary bladder, kidneys, pregnancy for a female and many more aspects are also related.
7th House (Bhava)
This house (Bhava) mainly represents Relationships, partner (life or Business), legal contracts, Business, marriage, spouse, married life, foreign places, residence away from native place, sexual habits, large intestine and anal area. This bhav is also known as MarakBhav.
8th House (Bhava)
This house (Bhava) is mainly represents the transformations, obstacles, bad habits, turnarounds in life, sudden events / happenings, accidents (Tragic/serious) and injuries, deep emotions, death and death like events, hidden things, occult science, deep research in any area, detachment, unearned money like from spouse or from somewhere else, Change, hopelessness, marital life, internal sexual organs, anal area, testis area for males, long term diseases, incurable disease, death and many other aspects.
